KAURNA CRONIN.png

Kaurna Cronin is an Australian folk-rock singer-songwriter whose music illuminates the human condition – immersive storytelling wrapped in warm acoustic textures and the raw spirit of rock. For over fifteen years he has carried his craft across the world, performing thousands of concerts throughout Europe, Australia and beyond – not to merely pass through, but to embed himself in the communities he encounters, soaking up the stories that shape his songs.

Hailing from a profoundly creative upbringing – raised on the road in a beat-up van with a clown for a father and a textile artist for a mother – Cronin learned early that art could live anywhere. That nomadic childhood sparked his persistent curiosity and lyrical depth, forging a voice that is cinematic in scope yet intimate at heart.

A prolific songwriter with ten studio albums to his name, Cronin has earned distinguished recognition including Folk Alliance Australia’s Artist Of The Year, two nominations for Australian Folk Music Awards Artist Of The Year, the APRA-AMCOS Emily Burrows Award, Roots Album Of The Year (ARBA), Best Acoustic Act (Fowlers Live Music Awards) and a South Australian Music Awards Live Music Award. His live performances – described as theatrical, poetic and deeply human – have made him a stalwart of the contemporary folk scene.

Cronin has graced festival stages across the globe including Rudolstadt Festival (DE), Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), Port Fairy Folk Festival (AUS), Valkhof Festival (NL), Viru Folk (EST), Noorderzone (NL) and many more, sharing stages with Keith Urban, Michael Franti, Colin Hay (Men At Work) and Roscoe James-Irwin (Cat Empire). His extensive touring footprint spans Australia, Germany, Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Latvia, Poland, Italy, India, U.S, Canada, U.K, Finland, Austria, Czech Republic and Lithuania.

In 2025, Cronin releases his landmark album Jester In A Mess – a deeply personal reflection inspired by newfound fatherhood, community, and the creative life that shaped him. The record continues his artistic homecoming, turning years of travel into clarity, warmth and perspective. Its touring chapter unfolds through Europe and Australia, while The Beauty Of The Backroads feature documentary – chronicling Cronin’s unconventional touring ethos – will arrive in late 2026.
