Celebrated as an aficionado of contemporary folk, Kaurna Cronin is continuing to enthral audiences and impress critics, with the previously named Folk Alliance Australia 'Artist Of The Year' having just announced his 'Make Light' album whilst on an extensive European tour that saw him and his band perform 30 concerts throughout Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Denmark and Lithuania

 

The power of Kaurna Cronin's storytelling is the by-product of a decade of dedicated touring in Australia and Europe. Across both continents he has earned a reputation as a folk-rock stalwart with a songwriting maturity beyond his years. His poetry, matched by subtle, unforgettable instrumentation is a huge reason for his cult following. It is no surprise that he is a past-winner of 'Artist of the Year' from Folk Alliance Australia, two time nominee of 'Best Solo Artist' at The Australian Folk Music Awards as well as the prestigious APRA-AMCOS 'Emily Burrows Award', 'Best Acoustic Act' at the Fowlers Live Music Awards, ARBA 'Roots Album of The Year' plus a South Australian Music Awards 'Live Music Award'.

With over 600+ European performances under his belt, Cronin's unique folk blend and moving performances have been wowing audiences throughout Europe and Australia. This wandering storyteller is on the cusp of a new breed of Australian folk artists, reimagining and redeveloping the way music is shared, written and enjoyed across the globe.​

His 2022 album Harsh Beauty showcased Cronin’s artistry as a seasoned songwriter and musician, but also as an emerging producer/engineer, having crafted from multiple studios across his homeland a lush and emotive soundscape for a deep swag of songs steeped in rich Australian imagery and worldly tales.

Cronin's newly announced single 'Eraser' adds to the building anticipation for Kaurna Cronin's upcoming album, Make Light. Like Cronin's previous studio albums, Make Light, promises to be a collection with great depth and authenticity. Each album in his discography has seen him grow to new heights, as a musician, as a storyteller and now as a producer. 'Eraser' showcases his unwavering commitment to making music with emotional resonance at every stage of the songwriting process. 

 

Throughout his extensive international touring Cronin's new release 'Eraser' as well as 'Hold On You & Me' and other cuts from Make Light have been mesmerising audiences in Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark and Lithuania. In a live setting, Cronin is a raconteur, a captivating vocalist and a generous frontman, who shares the spotlight with his brilliant bandmates.

In the past years Cronin has tirelessly toured Europe and Australia, from intimate venues to some of the biggest open air festivals in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Estonia. He has graced stages at major festivals globally including Rudolstadt Festival (DE), Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), Port Fairy Folk Festival (AUS), Viru Folk (EST), National Folk Festival (AUS), Valkhof Festival (NL), Noorderzone Festival (NL) & Falken Dagar Festival (SWE) plus alongside artists such as Colin Hay (Men at Work), Roscoe James-Irwin (Cat Empire), Keith Urban & Michael Franti.
